Longer run tonight, and none of the loathsome oppression that weighed me down last night. Spring in the step all the way home. Hot bath running, so straight on to the vital statistics for tonight:
Run: 6 miles run home from the Bay, via Adamsdown, then round Roath lake. Sprint intervals to finish. All good – though had to stop and stretch hamstring.
Spotted: a gentleman engaged in street steeplechase, jumping over garden walls on Newport Rd; two purposeful young men in red coats knocking doors for the red cross; briefly, wonderfully, bright winter stars – then the clouds got ’em; four bearded men hugging on a street corner.
Music: Tonight was most helped by “Party Barge” by Silver Jews, added a spring on the Newport Rd stretch, reminded me of a fun afternoon in Nashville. Sadly, Silver Jews don’t make music any more – here’s why. Proper odd.
