Janathon. Again.

I’ve decided to return to my long neglected running blog to help me through Janathon – the annual festival of running, logging and blogging. No London Marathon to train for this year, just the more humdrum challenge of trying to force myself out of the front door for a morning run.

Since stopping the blog, I’ve also been posting little observations on my morning runs on Facebook – sort of half poetry, half prose – and a few people suggested they might work as a blog, so here goes…

Spotted on this morning’s run: isolated cars and walkers, floating like phantoms across wet roads on a grey New Year’s morning; a lime green vacuum cleaner, lying lamely smashed outside a shut Tesco; a battered bike frame, shorn of wheels and meaning; an army of parkrunners, some keen, some bright, some bleary, some fit, some not, taking on Cardiff’s first run of 2015. Happy New Year!
