Janathon Day 3: Cardiff Parkrun

The year is only 3 days old, and already I’ve managed two parkruns, thanks to the great people who organise the Cardiff event. Also managed to nudge my 5k time back down towards sub 21mins… Saying goodbye to the turkey, slowly. Today was wet. Very wet. Very, very wet.

Spotted on this morning’s run: a wet and wild assembly of 463 Cardiff parkrunners; an ebullient Taff, rolling muddily to the sea; puddles so big, rich and deep that they may soon be on maps; the obligatory confused walker, puzzled at the heaving, steamy mass of strange Saturday humanity mending its way round 5k of parkland; and a battery of volunteers, cheering, steering and making the impossible possible.
