About

My name is Matt Greenough. I am an extremely average runner, and I started this blog in January 2013 to help chronicle my efforts to get fit enough to run the 2013 London Marathon. Well I did it! Somehow. And along the way raised over £2000 for Get Kids Going.

You can still sponsor me by visiting: www.virginmoneygiving.com/MattGreenough

Although the Marathon is over, I’ve kept the blog alive as a residence for my random thoughts about running as I seek a fresh challenge.

    • Thanks for the tip, Meilyr. Duly downloaded. It will give me something to think about in the next few days. I don’t like the sound of the “mortality” bit though! I’m against that sort of thing…

Still haven’t read “What I Talk About When I Talk About Running” by Murakami, which will probably make an interesting comparison to the Rowlands book. That’s the rest of Easter sorted!

  1. Thanks for motivating me to take up running. Who would have thought I would have completed 2 marathons and 4 half marathons in under 3 years!

Now to beat your goals for 2015, though 1500 miles in one year will be hard.
